Feeling stuck? Here are 5 questions to ask yourself for more clarity in your life.

Updated: Nov 20, 2019

Today at the office we had a team training that happened to correlate to many of the conversations I had with people over the weekend. I had recorded a series of videos (which you can find on my Instagram highlights under "Video Challenge") and one of the topics that came up was about goals, vision, and who I wanted to become as a person. I had many people reach out in regards to this topic so I wanted to share these 5 questions for anyone who is trying to find more clarity on their vision/purpose in life.

1. What do you believe is your purpose? Why are you here?

2. What are your God-given/natural talents?

3. What are your values?

4. Imagine that it's 20 years from now. How is the world going to experience you?

5. Who would you be/what what you be doing as that person?

To give you a little insight on me and the process I went through to come up with these answers, I'd like to share mine directly with you.

1. What do you believe is your purpose? Why are you here?

To serve others. To connect with people and to help one another break through the difficult things in life such as insecurities, fears, self-doubt, overcoming and understanding traumas, understanding and releasing trapped emotions. To bring positivity and a new perspective to others. To work on healing myself so that I can in turn help to heal others.

2. What are your God-given/natural talents or characteristics?

- Being a good listener

- Understanding other people's perspective

- Being non-judgemental

- Having empathy

- Being vulnerable (more so now than in the past)

- Having an open mind

- Being unique/weird

3. What are your values?

- Service to others

- Respecting others

- Being non-judgmental

- Having empathy

- Discipline

- Personal growth and development

- Making personal breakthroughs

- Having integrity

- Transparency

- Morality

4. Imagine that it's 20 years from now. How is the world going to experience you?

The world will experience me as a positive light in their life. They will experience me as living proof that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to. They will experience me as living proof that no matter where you came from and no matter who you were in the past, that you can choose the person you want to be in the future. You can change the course of your life and choose the direction you want it to go it. You can do and be anything you want.

5. Who would you be/what what you be doing as that person?

I would be an author. I would have a successful YouTube channel, blog, social media following where I will be able to work from anywhere in the world, sharing as much knowledge on health, self-improvement and building your wealth through real estate investing. I would have no fear of putting myself out there. I would have no fear of being vulnerable with the world.

**Now here's the kicker. Go back to #5 and ask yourself what is keeping you from being this person right now at this point in your life?**

When I look at my answer to #5 and really think about it, the answer is NOTHING. Not a damn thing. We are often waiting for the "right time" to start something or to be something. Or we are full of fear about it. But the reality is that there is never a right time. If you want something you just have to start now.

I think that answering these questions is the first step to breaking down what is really important to you and uncovering the areas that you naturally thrive in.
